Pirates eliminated from baseball playoffs with another squeaker, 2-1

Granbury High School's baseball season ended Friday night (May 14) at Tidwell Field with a 2-1 loss to Mansfield Timberview in the area round of the Class 5A playoffs. The Pirates lost by an 8-7 count in 8 innings Thursday night at Timberview, in the opener of the best-of-three series. Coach Brad Eppler's Pirates closed out their season with a 23-9 record. The Wolves, now 21-10-1, advance to the third round of the playoffs to face either Aledo or Burleson High School next week.
