State golf: GHS's Ty Holbrook in four-way tie for third

Granbury High School junior Ty Holbrook was in a four-way tie for third place at 72 after Monday's opening round of play in the Class 5A boys state golf tournament at White Wing Golf Club in Georgetown. Preston Cooper of Highland Park was the first-day leader, at 70, followed by Roy Barrera of Boerne Champion High School at 71. The tournament is scheduled to conclude Tuesday afternoon (May 18).
