Stephenville man, Granbury woman facing felony drug charges

A Stephenville man and a Granbury woman were arrested on May 21 by members of the Hood County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit on felony drug charges stemming “from the two possessing over 92 grams of meth and under a gram of THC liquid,” according to Lt. Johnny Rose.

The man, 56-year-old Tracy Lee Thurman of Stephenville, is charged with a first-degree felony count of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance ($100,000 bond). He is also charged with a state jail felony offense of possession of a controlled substance ($10,000 bond).

The woman, 51-year-old Jere Lynn Powell of Granbury, is facing a second-degree felony count of possession of a controlled substance ($20,000 bond).

The arrests, which resulted from an investigation by the Street Crimes Unit, happened at approximately 6 p.m. in the 700 block of Bluebonnet Drive. Both Thurman and Powell were released from the Hood County Jail after posting bond.
