Stop to yield

Tuesday, May 14, 2019

Granbury Police Chief Mitch Galvan said he has requested that TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation) add signs for the confusing Highway 377 eastbound lanes near Black’s Pawn Shop. “Most people don’t know how that intersection is supposed to work,” he said. “Most people coming off Pearl Street think that it’s a merge lane when it is not. It’s actually a left-turn lane for eastbound traffic on 377, and the drivers coming off Pearl are required to stop to yield.” A minor accident occurred there Sunday afternoon. The vehicle above was rear-ended and not at fault, police said.
