Tip-A-Cop returning to Grumps on Thursday, Oct. 14

Posted

The popular Tip-A-Cop event at Grumps in Granbury is coming back this year, after having to be canceled in 2020 because of COVID-19. The Granbury Citizens Police Academy Alumni will be staging the 13th Tip-A-Cop night from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14 in the restaurant’s outdoor pavilion area.

The fun-filled event will once again feature Granbury Police Department officers serving burger meals to the restaurant’s customers. The Tip-A-Cop meals will cost $10, plus tax. Tips and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Granbury Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association, a nonprofit organization that supports and assists with special programs and events supported by the Granbury Police Department, according to a news release. It encourages everyone to get to know the great folks with the Granbury Police.

The evening will feature live entertainment provided by a local musician, along with games (including bean-bag toss and Wiffle ball) for the whole family, a police cruiser, and a photo booth with “great fun props to make the event memorable for everybody.”

For those who will be attending, additional parking is now available at the back of Grumps.
