Alta Jean White Munday, passed away on October 21, 2019 at the age of 90. She was welcomed into heaven by her loving family. We know there was much rejoicing in heaven when she arrived.
Jean was born on March 23, 1929, in Hood County, Texas. She resided in Glen Rose, Texas for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. She enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting, arrowhead hunting, rock collecting, and bird watching.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Merlin (Mert) Munday; her mother, Nora White Whit-worth and father, Charles White; her brothers, J.W. White and Charles Clinton White; her sisters, Lou Dempsey, Charlene Whit-worth, Christine Smith, and Betty Davis.
She is survived by her three daughters and their families. Lisa Dehtan; Cindy Powers and husband Mark; and Dawn Green and husband Tracey; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose, TX on 10/24/ 2019 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Burial Services will be held at Rock Creek Cemetery on 10/25/2019 at 2 pm. A reception will be held at Los Primos Mexican restaurant, 902 NE Big Bend Trail, immediately following the service.
