Archie Dale "Pops" Crawford, 81, of Weatherford, passed away early Sunday morning, September 6, 2020, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8, Friday evening, September 11, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford, Texas. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 1 P.M., on Saturday, September 12, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Poe Prairie Cemetery in Millsap, Texas.
Archie was born November 11, 1938, in Elm Grove, Texas to Marion and Una V. Crawford. He worked for over 40 years as a Heavy Machine Operator. Archie enjoyed outdoor activities including fishing, BBQ's and caring for his vegetable garden. Pops will affectionately be remembered for his 'giving and loving heart.' He particularly enjoyed time spent with friends and with his beloved family - especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Archie is survived by his children, Pam Petet, Terresa (Mark) Geffert, DaleLina (Mark) Martyn, and Rickey Crawford; grandchildren, Tamara, Michele, Troy, Nichole, Brandi, Megan, Ashley, Taylor, Betty, Kaden, and "Cookie;" 22 greatgrandchildren; by 3 great-great-grandchildren; and by is siblings, Wayne Crawford and Vernon Ray Crawford.
In addition to his parents, Archie was preceded in death by his dad, J.P. Crawford; his grandson, Bobby; and by his sister, Marie Beasley and by his brother, Clifford Crawford.
