Colleen Fish, 87, a longtime resident of Granbury, passed away peacefully November 27th, 2018 in Olathe, Kansas. Colleen and her husband Jim were interred at the First Presbyterian Church of Gran-bury in a ceremony for family and close friends Saturday May 18th, 2019.
Beatrice “Colleen” Haifley was born April 7th, 1931 in Urbandale, Iowa. She was graduated from Urbandale High School in 1949. Colleen met Jim Fish when they both worked for Phillips Petroleum in Des Moines. They were married October 24th, 1953 and the two adored each other ever after. They lived in Urbandale until Jim retired in 1988 and they moved to Pecan Plantation where they both golfed and Colleen played bridge as often as possible.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents Charles Wilton Haifley and Mamie Beatrice (Breeden) Haifley, and her husband of 62 years James William Fish.
She is survived by her sons Timothy James Fish of Granbury and Robert Charles Fish of Olathe, KS, grandchildren Tiffany Nicole (Fish) O’Bannon, Tonya Michelle Fish, Tyler James Fish and Amanda Christine Fish, and 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Colleen’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
