Dewey P. Ballenger Jr.

Dewey P. Ballenger Jr.of Granbury, 94 years old, passed away January 7, 2019.

Memorial Service: January 12, 2019 2:00 at Quail Park Sr. Living in the Great Room.

Dewey was born January 9, 1924 in Diboll, TX to Dewey and Dora Ballenger.

Dewey was WWII combat veteran. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corp from 1942 - 1945 as a photographer with 730th Squad, 380th Bomb Group. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for serving in 40 missions performing air reconnaissance.

Dewey owned and operated a Baskin and Robbins in Fort Worth. The business was a family affair, as Dewey was very much a devoted family man. He enjoyed time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved travel, family dinners, line dancing and being on the go. He was an extremely energetic individual until his death at 94.

Dewey was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ballenger, and Grandson, Chad Stovall.

Survivors: Children- Luann Stovall, Dewey Ballenger III and wife Linda: Grandchildren- Holly Stovall and husband Tom Sadler, Ryan Ballenger, Coy Ballenger and wife Haley, Chris Ballenger and wife Tasha. Grandchildren- Maya Stovall, Matthew Sadler, Kaitlynn Seaux, Olivia Ballenger, and Posy Ballenger.
