Doris Louise Selman, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2019, in Corpus Christi, TX. She was born on January 31, 1923 near Fluvanna, TX to Ruby and David Riley Covey. She grew up in the Gail, TX area. Doris Selman served in the U.S. Navy as a Wave during World War ll. She married Lloyd W. Selman on June 12, 1948 in Dallas, TX. They were married 56 years until his passing in 2004. Mrs. Selman worked at various administration jobs throughout her life, as well as being a small business owner in Corpus Christi for a number of years.
She was very devoted to her family. She later retired in Granbury, TX, where she lived for about 29 years. She was a member of Granbury First United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death are her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Survivors: Daughter, Deborah Salch and husband Bob, of Granbury; son, Dane Selman of Granbury; grandchildren, Belinda Nored and husband Thomas of Corpus Christi; and Brandon Johnson and wife Nikki of Idaho; step grandchildren, Brittany Laflash and Kris Laflash; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great- grandchildren; sister, Claudie Biangardi, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held from 1 PM to 2 PM on Sat. 10-19-2019 at Holly Hills Memorial Park, 1900 FM 51, Granbury, TX. Friends and family welcome.
