Posted

Eloise (as she is known to all of her friends) was born in Venus, Texas on 26 February, 1918. She outlasted eighteen Presidents. Eloise attended school in Fort Worth, and Gladewater where she graduated in the first graduation class at Gladewater High School. She was born to William "Bill" Lee Boteler and Itylene Emerson.

The Boteler and Ketchum families were instrumental in helping to establish Englewood Methodist Church in the Polytechnic area of Fort Worth where they all served God and the community for many years.

Eloise married Gordon William Ketchum on 6 June, 1939. He served in the Army Air Corps at Carswell Air Force Base Fort Worth Texas and Eloise worked at Convair during the war effort. She would go on to work and retire from the Tarrant County College System having worked in the Book Store at South Campus. Then she worked for McDonalds at several stores, and then went to Braum's where she retired at the age of 98 and then moved to Granbury where she enjoyed making more new friends.

Eloise and Gordon had three children; Jerry, Sheri and Philip. Gordon passed away in 1973. Eloise also had two grand kids: Melinda Ketchum Morrison and Aaron Ketchum. The grand kids enlightened her heart with five great grandchildren; Megan Morrison, Dillon Morrison, Cole Ketchum, Caylin Ketchum and Mia Redmon. This in turn gave her two greatgreat grandchildren; Addilynn Ketchum and Ava Ketchum.
