George Isac "Paw Paw Lew"Lewis, 91, former long -time resident of Granbury, Texas passed away on January 21, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas. Graveside inurnment: 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 8, 2020, Acton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.

George was born on September 6, 1928 in Rocky Comfort, Missouri. He attended Oklahoma A & M College School of Technical Training in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

George proudly served as a Combat Radio Operator in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was in the Sunshine Division: 40th Division, 1st Battalion, Company A, 2nd Platoon. He landed in Inchon in 1952 and was awarded a combat infantry badge.

George was the owner and publisher of the Corner Stone newspaper in Granbury. He worked for: H&H Printing in Granbury, the Fort Worth Star Telegram, Arlington Citizen Journal, All Church Press in Fort Worth, Galveston Daily News, Hennessey Clipper in OK, Beaumont Enterprise, Hale Center American, and the Chickasha Express-Star. He retired from the Glen Rose Reporter, where he worked as a printer.

George was preceded in death by his parents; China and Erdie Lewis of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, wife of 61 years, Rose Marie Lewis of Granbury, Texas, who he married on January 24, 1953, brother: Adrian Lee Lewis, and sisters: Esther Campbell and Lena Akehurst.

George is survived by his son; Steve Lewis and wife Nancy of Alvarado, Texas, daughter; Karen Paramore and husband Mike of Granbury, Texas, grandchildren; Julie Duran and husband Flavio of Godley, Texas, Michael Paramore and wife Michelle of Fort Worth, Texas, Marty Paramore of Granbury, Texas, Preston Lewis of Richland Hills, Texas, and Megan Lewis of San Antonio, Texas, greatgrandchildren; Alex Duran, Veronica Duran, Bryson Paramore, Sutton Fambro, and Caitlin Blanton and husband Josh, great-great grandchild; Addyson Blanton and several nieces and nephews.
