Herm Langston, 72, of Granbury, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 15, 2018, Triple Cross Cowboy Church, Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park, Visitation: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday, November 12, 2018, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury.
Herm was born on March 17, 1946 in Hope, Arkansas to Fred and Virginia Langston. He was the middle of three children. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He retired from Continental Airlines in 1986 and sold cars at Auto Ranch for five years. He retired from Woodmen of the World in 2005 after many dedicated years. He retired from Gran-bury ISD as a school bus driver in 2016.
Herm never met a stranger. He loved watching western movies and playing dominoes. He was an outdoors-man and loved fishing and hunting. He loved cooking out and having fish frys. He loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. He attended Triple Cross Cowboy Church for the past several years. He was preceded in death by his son: Douglas Lynn Langston, father: Fred Langston, and brother-in-law: Ed Tinney.
Herm is survived by his wife: Beverly Langston, children: Tammy Ratzlaff and husband Craig of Wichita, Kansas, and Greg Langston and wife Melissa of Gran-bury, grandchildren: Desire Langston, Sarah Maddox and husband Will, Taylor Ratzlaff, Chelsey Ratzlaff, Casey Ratzlaff, Tatum Ratzlaff, Douglas Langston, and Andrew Langston, great-grandchild: Grace Maddox, mother: Virginia Langston of Granbury, siblings: Judy Tinney of Granbury, Freddie Thorpe and husband Jerry of Granbury, and daughter-in-law: Sharon Langston of Granbury.
