James Mallory Moon Jr.

James Mallory Moon, Jr., 90, of Granbury, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2019. Visitation: 1:00 PM until service time, Thursday, November 7, 2019, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury, Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 7, 2019, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Interment: 12:30 PM, Saturday, November 9, 2019, Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to a charity of your choice.

James was born on July 27, 1929 in La Grange, Georgia to James and Thelma Moon. He was born at home and he never went into a hospital until the day he died. He married Ethel May Hodges on June 28, 1953 in Lubbock, Texas and was a loving husband and a wonderful Dad.

James proudly served his country for 22 years in the United States Air Force and he retired with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Subsequently, he retired from Dickies in Fort Worth as the plant facilities manager.

James loved golfing and was a golf pro at Granbury Country Club. He golfed all over the world and made many friends along the way. He also enjoyed golfing on the three holes he built on his property.

James was extremely handy and he liked fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his son: Rodney Clay Moon, brothers: William and Jerry and sister: Kathleen.

James is survived by his wife: Ethel Moon, daughter: Cindi Moon Thomas and husband Kenneth and several nieces and nephews.
