Joseph, better known to all as Jody, 76 of Granbury, Texas passed away at home on August 10, 2019. The Memorial service will be at Acton Methodist Church, 3433 Fall Creek Hwy, Granbury, Texas, August 26, 2019 at 2pm. Pastor Christy Barto will be officiating.

Jody was a Christian, loving son and sibling, wonderful husband, devoted father, friend and our hero. He was born June 19, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa to Joe and Lucille Yeager.

Jody grew up in Abernathy, Texas after moving there with his family at age three. He moved to Ft Worth, Texas in 1968 to begin work in retail business. Jody soon became a store manager. He was also over advertising in New Mexico. In 1986 he returned to Texas to work in sales in the family business after the death of his father. He was highly respected by the customers and manufactures which he represented.

Hard work, common sense, honesty and his love of God, loyalty to friends, and devotion to family were his hallmark. He also had a great respect for those that have fought for our freedom and a great love for our country.

His hobbies included sailing, wood turning, hunting, fishing, golfing and traveling.

He is preceded in death by his Mother, Father, sister- Pam Davis and brother - Doug Yeager. He is survived by his wife Judy, of 56 years, of Granbury, Texas. He is also survived by three children: Debra and husband Hil Craver of Canyon, Texas, Rebecca and husband Larry Jacobsen of Nibley, Utah, and Joel and partner Jessica Strong of Granbury, TX.

Jody was known as Grandpa Jody by seven grandchildren: Shawn, his wife Amie, Dakota, Taylor, Brooke, Christopher, his wife Tahja, Joey and Amanda. He was also loved by four great grandchildren: Aubrie, Lane, Polar and Deklynn.
