Posted

Kerry Jay Comeau passed away peacefully in Dallas March 18 after a courageous fight against long-term illness. The fifth of six children in a military family, he was born May 25, 1955, in New London, Conn., to Benjamin and Lottie Comeau. Kerry graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, Tex., and received a college education at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. He met and, in 1977, married Nancy Jean Fullwood at Camp Crucis in Granbury, which always held a special place in his heart. Together they raised three sons and shared many adventures traveling and camping across the United States.

Kerry was an avid bird hunter and raised and trained many pointers and retrievers. He was a custom home builder and master carpenter who spent his lifetime sharing skills and stories with generations of new carpenters and builders. His unconditional love and willingness to lend a helping hand impacted many lives. He brought out the best in everyone fortunate enough to call him a friend.

Kerry is survived by Nancy Comeau, his wife of 42 years, sons Miles Comeau and wife Isabel, Phillip Comeau and wife Anna, and Richard Comeau and partner Nick Griffin. He will be remembered by many who call him brother, uncle, friend. Celebration of life events will be announced in the coming weeks.
