LB Bynumn

LB Bynumn, 90, of Granbury, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020. Service: 2:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2020, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury, Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park, Visitation: 1:00 PM until service time, Friday, February 28, 2020, Wiley Funeral Home.

LB was born on July 3, 1929 in Peavine, Oklahoma to William and LaVada Bynumn. He was a loving husband and he was happily married for fifty-eight years to Roselyn Bynumn. He loved his family dearly and he cherished time spent with them.

LB proudly served his country. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant and was a Buck Sergeant in the United States Army. He was a POW during the Korean War and served during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Purple Heart and numerous medals and awards.

LB retired as an X-Ray technician after 22 years and worked for the Post Office for 10 years. He continued to work long after serving his country.

He loved dancing at the local community center and rarely missed an opportunity to go, even later into his life. He was an active softball player while serving around the world. He enjoyed bowling, and watched the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He always enjoyed a good cup of coffee no matter what time of the day. He was preceded in death by his wife; Roselyn Bynumn and daughter; Gwendolyn Strong.

LB is survived by his children: Billy Bynumn, David Bynumn, Jeanette O'Keefe and Donna Smith, grandchildren: Tricia Hudson, Britney Todorovic, Henry W. Smith, William Bynumn, Jessica Smith, Cole Bynumn, and Nathaniel Smith and nine great-grandchildren that he loved dearly.
