Lynn Williams

Lynn Williams, 78 of Granbury, Texas passed away on Thursday May 23, 2019. Services: 2:00P.M. Tuesday May 28, 2019, Holly Hills Mausoleum Chapel; Interment: Holly Hills Mausoleum; Visitation: 12:30 - 2:00 P.M. Thursday May 28, 2019.

Lynn was born on June 22, 1940 in Turkey, Texas to Byron Alton Williams and Ruby Pearl (Proctor) Williams. He attended High School in the Pan Handle of Texas and graduated as Salutatorian in May 1958. He then went to college at Texas Tech University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Major in Physical Education; he graduated June 3, 1963. Lynn then went to work for Lubbock ISD, then to Liberty Mutual as an Insurance Adjuster to Vought Aircraft Company as a buyer. In August of 2002, after 25 years, he retired from Bell Helicopter.

Lynn will be remembered by friends and family for his sharp wit, his sense of humor and his love of traditional bluegrass music, good food and his lifelong woodworking hobby. Lynn was preceded in death by his father: Byron Alton Williams, and his mother: Ruby Pearl Williams.

He is survived by his loving wife Dorene G. Williams of Granbury, Texas; son: Brian K. Williams & wife Debbie of Kennedale, Texas; stepson: Robert A. Heinz of Hot Springs, Arkansas; grandson: Austin L. Williams of Kennedale, Texas; granddaughter: Talour M. Hilton & husband E.J. of Boyd, Texas; great-granddaughter: Kielee Hilton of Boyd, Texas; great-grandson: Briar Joseph Hilton of Boyd, Texas; step grandson: Daxton L. Heinz of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brother: Melvin E. Williams of Sam Rayburn, Texas; sister-in-law: Anna Lou Williams of Sam Rayburn, Texas and three nephews.
