Mary C. Donarumo of Granbury, TX died in Granbury, Texas on May 26th, 2019. She was born in New York City in 1924 and worked for Western Electric doing defense work during WW II. She married Albert Donarumo in 1943, following his return from active duty in the Army Air Corps, and they settled in New York City. In 1959, they relocated to Bayside, New York, to raise their family. After retirement in 1972, they moved to Seminole, Florida, where Mary volunteered for more than 20 years at The Mease Hospital in Dunedin, Florida. They were avid travelers and especially enjoyed cruising. Growing up in the 1930's and '40s, Mary enjoyed attending live concerts by the swing era megastars, and especially Frank Sinatra, at the Paramount theater in New York. In 2014 she moved to Granbury to be close to family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Albert, parents Anna and Thomas Mahoney, sister Nora Wylie, brothers, James, Thomas, William, John, and Joseph Mahoney, and son-in-law James Rolston. She is survived by her three children: Theresa (Tom) Bazzone, Susan Rolston, and Michael (Keena) Donarumo and five grandchildren: Thomas (Jill) Bazzone, Tara Rolston (partner Donn Wilkins), Jayne (Ben) Bloemendaal, Jennifer (Matt) LeCluyse and Joseph (Tasha) Donarumo and twelve great-grandchildren: William, Andrew, and Charles Bazzone, Jackson, Ava, and Bryce LeCluyse, James and Hope Bloemendaal, Karsten, Kaiser, Knox, and Krosby Donarumo.

Mary's father, husband, and all her brothers served in the U.S. military during wartime and her oldest brother died in a kamikaze attack on his destroyer in 1945. Hence, in lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Gary Sinese Foundation, George W. Bush Institute, or Our Fallen Heroes Foundation (ourfallenheroes.org).

Memorial services and interment at Bay Pines Military Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida will be held at a future date.
