Maxine Cox passed away peacefully in her home with her five daughters surrounding her on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 8:45am. Ellen Maxine Belew was born on October 22, 1930 to JB and Nannie Lee Belew in Bradshaw, Texas. She was married to Elwood Glenn Cox for 45 years who preceded her in death in 1995. Survived by her sister Geraldine Phelps of Winters, TX and her daughters Glenda, Karla, Wanda, Rhonda & Rita. 12 Grandchildren and 16 Great grandchildren

Maxine went to school at Winters High School and attended college at Texas Tech University.

Maxine's life was filled with the duties of wife and mother to five daughters who were active horse riding, animal loving girls nicknamed "The Cox's Army". She lovingly took the role of keeping the army fed, clothed and schooled. She had an unwavering faith in God and shared her love of Jesus with her family and friends. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Burleson and never missed out on an activity or game at the Burleson Senior Center including ongoing education for seniors. Her love for family and friends made our lives rich and rewarding. She will forever be in our hearts.
