Nan Jalean Love

Nan Jalean Love, 65, of Granbury, gained her wings on Wednesday June 19, 2019. She was born March 8, 1954 in Brownfield, TX to Ohlen and Catherine Ray She grew up and attended school in Morton, TX. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church.

Although her life was way too short, Nan had a great life. Along with her favorite job of being Mom and Mammaw, she experienced many opportunities. Nan graduated Cosmetology school in 1985 and opened a hair salon in Sundown, TX. She then followed her passion for caring and dream of becoming a nurse by graduating in 1997 as an LVN, and then earning her RN and later her Master's Degree in Nursing in 2012, of which she was very proud. In her years of nursing she worked in many fields including home health, hospice, management and instructor.

In the midst of her nursing career, Nan changed course and became a partner in Sun Drilling LLC. She was an advisor and administrator over accounts. She lived in many international places like Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Peru as well as travelled to many more countries. Her experiences, stories and adventures were amazing.

After 13 years of traveling Nan returned to Texas to be near her kids, grandkids, and family. It was then she opened her assisted living house, Loving Care Manors. In 2016 Nan moved to Granbury with her dog Buddy to focus on retiring. She loved being out of the rat race and near her cousins.

Of all her accomplishments and roles, her favorite and greatest was being a Mom and Mammaw. Nan had a passion for cooking and spending time with family, which explains why she loved hosting Thanksgiving every year. She also loved spending time in her yard, reading for hours, taking trips and hanging out with her family and friends. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, sense of humor, stubbornness, expert advice, caring generosity, grace, courage, and her amazing love and heart. She is truly unforgettable and her legacy will forever live on.

Nan is eternally loved and missed by her daughter Stephanie Love, her son Chad Love and his wife Leslie Her grandkids Michael Hearn and wife Nexz, Sierra Hearn, Garrett Love, Cole Love, and Campbell Love. Great granddaughters Athena, Harlee, and Kaycee. Sister Zarla Jeffcoat. Partner in crime Tommy Carman. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday June 30, 2019, 3-5 PM and memorial service will be held Monday July 1, 2019 at 11AM, both will be at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations can made in her memory to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
