She was born on January 14. 1928 in u tin, Mis is ippi to Claudia Lee and William H Taylor. ell was preceded in death b her mother and father, her husbands; Edward H. Thomp on, Jr. (the father of her children), Charles . Ramsey, and Charles E. Finley; and two son , Scott L. and james P. Thompson and six brother and four sisters.

She worked for the FHA in Ft Worth, Martin's Office Supply, Norman Lumber Company in Granbury, and for the US Cen us Bureau.

A member of the Granbury First United Methodist Church, she served in many capacities (as an officer in the local District and Conference Church and the Local District and Conference UMW and belonged to and taught the Chapel Sunday School class. She was a certified Ia speaker and served in e era! capacities of the Methodist General Confsons; Edward (Tommy)erence. She " as a Life Member and PastPallbearer will be her Matron of the Granbury Chapter of The Order of The Eastern Star #530, also serving as an officer in both the local and in the Grand Chapter. As a member of the Hood County Child Protecti e Services, she sen,ed as secretary to the regional board in ArLington. he held many offices in the Tolar Home Exten ion Club, Hood County Home Extension Council, and was District 8 Director of Extension senring on the state board. She was a precinct chair and election judge for the Democratic Party, and served a Treasurer for Hood County Democrats and Secretary for New Century Democrats and on the board of the Texas Democratic Women of Hood County. She was a member of NARFE and served in several offices.

She is survived by four sons; Edward (Tommy) H. Thompson, III and wife Sandy of Denton, T , Richard G. Thompson and wife Berte of Etter , P , Gary A. Thompson and wife Janice of Morgan Mill, TX, Paul L Thompson and wife Terry of Scottsdale, AZ, two daughter ; Phyllis Hartsell and husband Larry of Hope Mill , NC, and Catherine Beck of Granbury, TX. She also lea es18 Grandchildren, 32 Great-grandchildren and ten Great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearer will be her grandchildren, representing each child' family. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Fellowship - Chapel Sunday School Class of Granbury FUMC..

Funeral will be held at Granbury First United Methodist Church on Thur day July 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.; Ue in State 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Wedne day july l, 2020 Martin's Funeral Home Granbury (social distancing required), with burial at the Tolar Cemetery. Rev. Scott Goodfellow will officiate.
