Nellie (Nell) Ives Brown, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at home in Weatherford, Texas on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, just three days after the seventy-fourth anniversary of her marriage to Robert A. (Bob) Brown.

Nell was born in Lipan, Texas on November 30, 1927 to Freda and Butler Ives and lived in the same community surrounded by family and friends until the needs of a country at war called her father to the shipyards in Houston.

Nell is survived by her daughter, Arlene Karnes and husband Jerry, her daughter Ellen Wilson and husband John and her brother Charles Ives of Sherman, Texas, grandchildren Byron, Leslie, Clay and Kyle, as well as five great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date but the family is grateful for prayers and support and asks that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made to the Foster’s Home for Children, 1779 N Graham St, Stephenville, TX 76401.
