Rachel Aim Weems

Rachel Ann Weems, 77, of Grand Prairie passed away on July 5, 2020 in Irving. Private family services will be held at l Iolly Hills Memorial Park.

Rachel was born in Canyon, Texas to Lee Owen Heathington and Annie Grace Heathington on June 10, 1943. She went to Granbury I Ugh School. She married James Daniel Weems Jr. on November 22, 1969 in Granbury. She worked in education for the majority of her career and was active in the PTA. She was also very active at her church, Indian Hills Baptist Church of Grand Prairie. She enjoyed water aerobics classes with many of her friends.

Rachel is survived by her husband, James Daniel Weems Jr, her son, Ross and Jennifer Weems, her daughter, Heather and Eric Shelton, her brothers, Leonard and Dorothy IIeathington, Gary and Glenda Heathington, Jerry and Tammy Heathington and Sam and Karen Heathing ton and her grandchildren, Andrew and Abbey Weems, and Mary and Charlotte Shelton.
