Robert Houston Milligan Jr., 39, of Cresson, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019. The Memorial Service will be held at the Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury, on Thursday December 12, 2019, at 10:00 am. Following will be an Interment to be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
Robert was born on December 19, 1979 in Fort Worth, Texas to Robert and Donna Milligan. He proudly served his county in the United States Air Force as a Special Agent in the Office of Special Investigations, retiring at the rank of Staff Sergeant. Robert was extremely passionate about his law enforcement career and served this country during Operation Iraqi Freedom and the war on terror with honor and distinction. Robert was an amazing person, and overcame much in his short life. He was a great success in everything he did.
Robert married Samantha Coffey on September 1, 2002 in Anchorage, Alaska. Their love knew no bounds and during their 17-year marriage they grew to rely and value each other to a level that was admired. He loved his children deeply and he instilled in them a passion for law enforcement, honor, integrity and love of country. Robert enjoyed fishing, golfing and barbequing with friends and family every time he was able.
He was preceded in death by his close friend and cousin: Herby Odell Wood and his father-in-law: Roger Coffey.
Robert is survived by his loving wife: Samantha Milligan, his children: Tyler, Ainsley, Tanner, Jase and Averi, his mother: Donna Williams and his very special aunt and uncle: Deborah and Herby Wood.
