Mr. Roger Albert Jordan Jr died peacefully on August 6th 2019 in Beaumont, TX at the age of 64.
Roger is survived by his wife, Cindy Jordan; daughter Leslie Farris and her husband David, 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Aiden, Abby and Avery; his daughter April Wilks and her husband Josh, 3 grandchildren, Kasen, Kolten, and Emma; mother Lois Youngberg Jordan and sister Elizabeth Jordan. He is preceded in death by his father, Roger Albert Jordan.
Roger was born on August 30, 1954 in Erie, PA to Roger and Lois Jordan. He graduated from Iroquois High School in 1972. He attended Iowa Wesleyan University, where he played football. He married Cindy, March 19th 1988. He worked Nuclear Power Plants and Oil Refineries as a Project Controls Manager for over 15 years before starting his own corporation, RAJ Controls in 1995.
Roger dedicated his life to others as a loving husband, son, father, pawpaw and brother. He never met a stranger and easily put a smile on everyone's face. His kind heart, and giving spirit made a huge impact on each and every person he met. His sense of humor was a one-liner waiting to happen!
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00pm Monday August 12, 2019 at Wiley Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00pm Sunday August 11, 2019 at Wiley Funeral Home, burial will follow at Granbury Cemetery. Reception to follow at Harbor Lakes Golf Club. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Roger's life. Roger Howell will officiate the ceremony. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Susan G Komen, in honor of his wife Cindy, breast cancer survivor.
