Wayne Adair Anderson "Skip"

Wayne Adair Anderson, was born to Clarence Fay & Ernestine Anderson on August 19, 1946 in Granbury, TX. He grew up in Granbury and attended school both in Granbury and Fort Worth, and returned his senior year, where he was the first black male to graduate from Granbury High School. During high school he enlisted in U.S. Navy as a reservist and entered directly into the Navy after graduation. After serving in the Navy, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force to serve his country until he was honorably discharged.

On January 13, 1971 he married Emma Lorene Perkins and together they had 3 children, Shonda, Terrance and Wynter. Skip was a salesman for many years before transitioning to drive trucks for various companies until retirement. He was an excellent artist and an avid sports fan. He loved to fish, cook, research ancient history and enjoyed telling stories about his youth and military travels. He could have an intelligent conversation on any topic and would give you the shirt off his back.

Skip was preceded in death by his father Clarence Fay Anderson, mother Ernestine Newbill Anderson, and brother Ernest Fay Anderson. He is survived by the mother of his children Emma Anderson Crane, daughter Shonda Renee' Perkins, son Terrance Eugene Anderson (and wife Stephanie), daughter Wynter Nicole Mack (and husband Myron). Grandchildren: Cameron, Chandler, Chennedy, Chendall, Lath-an and Lauryn, and a host of brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on 2019 -11-02 at Generations Church of Granbury, 5718 East U.S. Highway 377, Granbury, TX, USA.
