William "Bill" Monroe Fidler

William "Bill"Monroe Fidler, 74 of Granbury, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019. Family will receive visitors Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 6-8pm at Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury, Texas.

Celebration of Life Service is Friday May 31, 2019 2pm at Wiley

Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Cresson Cemetery, Cresson, TX.

Bill was born May 25, 1945 in Fort Worth, Texas to Calvin and

Cacy Fidler. He excelled in high school football and was All

District. Bill proudly served in the United States Army C Troop 3rd Squadron 5th Cavalry "Black Knights". After returning home from Vietnam, he became a dedicated technician with AT&T where he made a special connection to his soon to be wife Vickie Diane Reagan. He and Vickie married on August 16, 1979. Bill went on to retire after almost 40 years of service with the company.

Bill was a devoted family man and enjoyed having his children and grandchildren around.

Bill was a natural born leader and a huge sports fan. He

enjoyed working with his hands, being outside and studying

family genealogy. He was a member of Acton Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents.

Bill is survived by his wife Vickie Fidler, his children: Rex

Taylor, Patrick Fidler wife Kimberly, and Susan Reynolds husband Jonathan, grandchildren: Steven Slezak, Emaline Taylor, Kirstie Mayfield, Cole Fidler, Carissa Fidler, Carter Fidler, Amina Fidler, Taylor Reynolds, Austin Reynolds, Hunter Reynolds, Cameron Reynolds, Cooper Reynolds, and Benjamin Reynolds, great granddaughter Blakely Mayfield, and brothers: Clark Fidler wife Sydney, Rick Fidler wife Kay, and George Fidler.
