William Clifford Moody

Cliff Moody, 91, of Granbury, Texas passed away March 29, 2020. He was born in Waldo, Arkansas to Oscar and Bessie Moody on October 2, 1928.

Cliff was a long time resident of Granbury and a long time active member of Granbury Church of Christ. He met his wife of 67 years, Barbara, in Fort Worth and they were married on December 12, 1952. They lived and raised their four children in Grand Prairie. Cliff was a Godly man who spent his life serving others. His greatest joy was spending time with his family at gatherings, ball games, and church activities. Cliff served in the US Air Force, and was a retired Dallas Police Officer, Hood County Justice of the Peace and County Commissioner.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Moody; his children: Diane Wright and her husband, Kevin; Pattie Dennis, and her husband, Bill; Gary Moody, and his wife, Carol; and Rickey Moody. Grandchildren: Kyle and Dana Wright, Ben and Julie Hammitt, Craig and Macy Dennis, Brent and Ashley Gartrell, Logan and Benay Sifford, Heathe Wright, and Taylor and Kelcie Moody. Great grandchildren: Jaxon Wright; Casen, Kinley, and Cale Hammitt; Rory and Indy Dennis; Grant and Kennedy Gartrell; Selah and Bauer Sifford; Avery, Emere, and Levi Van Hoose; Brynley Walters; and Eastin, Braxtin, and Gunner Moody.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents Osca and Bessie Moody and his sisters, Frances Vann, Wanda Stubblefield and Mary Lynn Morey.

Due to the circumstances surrounding the Covid-19, the family will have a celebration of life a later date. Burial will be at DFW National Cemeter
