Lady Rattlers fall to Jacksboro

The Tolar Lady Rattlers hung with Jacksboro until the top of the seventh inning in an 8-3 home loss Friday.

Tolar trailed 3-0 after the first inning, but rallied to pull with 3-2 heading into the top of the seventh. Jacksboro put up five runs in that frame, putting the game out of reach.

None of Jacksboro’s runs in the inning were earned, as Tolar committed four errors.

Morgan Hutsell went 2-3 at the plate with a triple, a run and an RBI for Tolar. Hanna Collie also had a triple and drove in a run. Hope Grivette went 1-4 with a run and an RBI.

Kodi Gay threw 1.1 innings for the Lady Rattlers, allowing two earned runs before being relieved by Kalee King. King finished out the game, allowing five hits and no earned runs.

The Lady Rattlers were 1-5 after the loss. Tolar began a five-game road trip Tuesday at Paradise, and will play Boyd on the road at 5 p.m. Friday.
