Lady Rattlers have 5 earn All-District honors

After making the post-season for the first time in five years, the Tolar Lady Rattlers had several players earn spots on the All-District 7-3A girls basketball teams.

Seniors Grace Jones and Aubrie Sibley were both selected as First Team All-District players. Jones averaged 14.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. An excellent defensive player, she also averaged 3.3 steals per game.

Sibley averaged 7.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game along with 1.5 steals.

Sophomore Baili Deaver was named a Second Team All-District selection. Deaver averaged 5.6 points and 5.4 boards and also had 3.1 steals per game.

Haylee Burt, another sophomore, and freshman Mia Fletcher were named honorable mentions. Burt scored 4.2 points per game and grabbed 4.3 rebounds. Fletcher led Tolar in three-point shooting and notched 3.0 rebounds per game.

The Lady Rattlers also excelled in the classroom. Jones, Fletcher, Burt, Deaver, Mallory Boyden and Reagan Chandler were selected to the District 7-3A Academic All-District team.

Tolar finished the year with a 14-13 record, and went 8-6 in District 7-3A. | 817-573-7066 ext. 254
