Lipan boys, girls beat Bluff Dale

The Lipan Indians and Lady Indians won big over Bluff Dale in home games on Friday.

The Lady Indians beat Bluff Dale 64-10 to move to 20-4 (4-0 District 19-1A) on the season. Lipan was ranked No. 8 in the most recent Texas Association of Basketball Coaches poll, which was released Monday.

The Lipan boys beat Bluff Dale 85-15 and are now 21-1 (2-0 in district). The Indians are ranked No. 1 in the state in the most recent Texas Association of Basketball Coaches poll.

This is Bluff Dale’s first season competing at the varsity level.

Both the Indians and Lady Indians hosted Rising Star Tuesday. Lipan will travel to Huckabay Friday, with the girls playing at 6 p.m. and the boys’ game following after.

Huckabay was ranked No. 10 in the most recent girls poll, and was picked to win district in the preseason edition of Dave Campbell’s Texas Basketball.
