Rattlers lose to Clifton
Defensive slip-ups cost Tolar in a 16-6 home loss to Clifton Friday.
The Rattlers committed eight errors, which led to 14 unearned runs for Clifton.
Derian Morphew and Mason Behrens each had two hits, with Morphew driving in two runs and Behrens scoring two. Matt Moody and Brice Scott both drove in a run.
Alex Arce started the game on the mound, pitching two innings and allowing one hit and four runs, none of which were earned. Moody threw the next three innings, giving up eight hits and eight runs (three earned). Behrens threw 1.2 innings, allowing no hits, and Eric Cridler finished out the final third of an inning.
Tolar started District 7-3A play Tuesday evening at Millsap. The Rattlers will stay on the road Thursday when they travel to Brock for a 1 p.m. start.
