Several online news media sources have reported that a 58-year-old Granbury man, Robert Douglas Berry, suffered a fatal gunshot wound Tuesday in Mesquite while he was working as a Lyft driver.
Reports indicated that a 911 caller said that he was a passenger in the vehicle when the driver was shot by someone who was in another vehicle.
Mesquite Police were called shortly before 7:30 p.m. on May 20 to the scene, on the exit ramp from northbound I-635 to westbound I-30. One report states that Berry was taken to a hospital, where he died.
The Dallas Morning News’ online report states that police originally identified the shooting victim as Robert Barry.
The Hood County News has submitted an information request to the Mesquite Police.
