The Granbury Parks Board’s Lambert Branch Park fundraiser has reached its goal, according to city Communications Manager Jeff Newpher.
Personalized, engraved fence pickets were sold by the Parks Department for placement between the playground and parking lot at the waterfront park at Rucker Street and North Brazos Street near the Granbury Square.
The park has a fishing pier and picnic tables and its flat ground is conducive to outdoor games. It is home to the Neely House, a venue that can be rented for family reunions, birthday parties, or other events.
The sale of the pickets was to defray the cost of 50 feet of fencing, an idea that City Manager Chris Coffman praised as “creative.”
The pickets are made from recycled plastic and were sold for an affordable $50 each. They create a barrier between the play area and the parking lot.
