Young Eagles fly-in at Pecan Plantation

Posted

Chapter 983 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) at the Pecan Plantation Airfield will be holding a Young Eagles Fly-in for youth ages eight to 17 years old. Since the pilots volunteer their time and expenses for the flights, there is no charge for participants. However, a parent or guardian must be present.

Flights will commence at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 5 and are provided on a first come, first served basis. The time in the air will last about 15 to 20 minutes. Folks desiring to take part in the day should come to the airpark pavilion near the intersection of Wedgfield Road and Orchard Drive.

Participants need not be Pecan Plantation residents; visitors may tell the gate attendant of their Young Eagle flight destination.

For more information on the event or about EAA Chapter 983’s presence in Pecan Plantation, call or text John Bowen at 817-559-5080.
