The Hood County Junior Livestock Show and Sale begins Monday, Jan. 5, and ends with the auction Saturday, Jan. 10. The show, presented by Hood County Livestock Raisers Assoc. is in its 71st year, will feature about 350 4-H and Future Farmers of America youth exhibiting about 840 entries in 28 divisions

Sonja Chastain, 59, a Brawner Elementary School PE teacher, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7. She taught for 22 years, 18 with Granbury ISD, and the last 10 years at Brawner.
