Liked that Garth Brooks concert at the Brazos DriveIn Theatre last month?

Pull out your credit card again. Encore Live is planning, well, an encore.

The special event “Garth Brooks: A Drive-In Concert Experience,” which was shown at outdoor movie venues across the country and in Canada in late June, was so successful that it spawned a concert series: Encore DriveIn Nights.

The next big act to hit outdoor movie venues will be “Blake Shelton with Very Special Guests Gwen Stefani and Trace Adkins.”

Tickets for the Saturday, July 25 concert will go on sale at 12:01 p.m. Tuesday at ticketmaster.com/encoreblakeshelton.

Cost is $114.99 per vehicle for up to six people.

Although there were two showings of the Brooks concert, there will be just one for Shelton. It will be at 9:05 p.m. Gates will open at 7:15 p.m.

Brazos Drive-In owner Jennifer Miller said that there will be an average of one concert per month aired at her venue.

The Encore Drive-In Nights series will allow music fans to enjoy a concert experience from the safety of their vehicles.

According to a press release from Encore Live, staff at participating venues will wear personal protective equipment, adhere to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended guidelines as well as state and local health mandates, and enforce at least 6 feet of space between vehicles.

There will be capacity limits for restrooms and guidelines for concessions.

A list of procedures for Encore Drive-In Nights events, as well as a list of participating venues, can be viewed at encorenights.com.

The series will use contactless payment and ticketing systems.

“After the overwhelming response to Garth Brooks’ drive-in concert feature, we knew we had to launch Encore Drive-In Nights to provide music fans across the USA and Canada the chance to see their favorite artists in a cool new way,” Encore Live founder and CEO Walter Kinzie stated in a press release.

“We can’t wait to bring music’s biggest stars to outdoor movie screens all across North America so that people can get back out there again and safely enjoy engaging in-person experiences.”

The all-new performances will be filmed exclusively for each one-night-only event and will include cinematic interviews and storytelling.

Additional Encore DriveIn Nights performances will be announced in the coming weeks.
