Lt. Russell Grizzard with the Granbury Police Department's Criminal Investigations Department issued the following statement late this afternoon to the Hood County News via email, concerning what was previously believed to be the theft of a Toys for Tots collection box from Ketzler's restaurant in Granbury:
"The young lady in the video called in when she saw the posted images and identified herself as the person in the images. She has been cooperative and met with investigators today. Based on conversations with her and a Toys For Tots representative, it appears this was a series of misunderstandings and there is no evidence of intent to commit a theft. She provided text messages between her and a Toys For Tots representative which corroborate her story. Because she and the representative never met face to face, the connection was not apparent until we had her name after she identified herself. Based on the circumstances, no criminal charges are anticipated."
