A 49-year-old Granbury man was arrested by Granbury Police on June 17 and booked into the Hood County Jail on a third-degree felony charge after he made “repeated” suggestions “of sexual acts” to a juvenile at the Dana Vollmer Municipal Swim Center, according to Deputy Chief Cliff Andrews.

GPD officers responded to the facility at 301 North Park St. in Granbury shortly after 3 p.m., and “were informed that Mr. Austin James Luther Jr., 49,” … “made repeated sexual comments and suggestions of sexual acts” to a juvenile who was 15 years old, Andrews stated in an email to the HCN. “When questioned, officers developed information leading to the arrest of Mr. Luther for Sexual Performance of a Child — Criminal Attempt,” a third-degree felony charge.

Andrews noted that another juvenile, also age 15, was also present during that incident at the pool.
