A 23-year-old Granbury man who was riding a motorcycle Wednesday, Jan. 26, and fled from Granbury Police at a “high rate of speed” was arrested and charged with a felony count of evading arrest/detention with a motor vehicle after crashing, Deputy Chief Cliff Andrews told the HCN in a news release.

The driver of the 2004 Honda motorcycle, Collin Wade Ballinger-Lamoon, fled “at a high rate of speed” when an GPD officer attempted to stop him shortly after 5 p.m. in the 3800 block of Highway 377 East in Granbury for “operating a vehicle without required motor vehicle registration,” according to Andrews.

“The driver turned onto Temple Hall Highway and eventually lost control of the motorcycle at Waples Road,” Andrews stated. “The driver was treated on scene for minor injuries.  He was taken into custody and charged with Evading Arrest or Detention in a motor vehicle which is a felony offense.”
