A 26-year-old Granbury man was arrested Saturday by Hood County Sheriff’s Office deputies and charged with three felony offenses including possession of methamphetamine and heroin plus tampering with evidence, according to Lt. Johnny Rose.

Jerad Zane Westerman was driving when he was pulled over by deputies conducting a drug investigation at about 4 p.m. in the 2800 block of Overview Road.

“The charges stem from Westerman trying to hide 7.9 grams of meth and 1.5 grams of heroin,” Rose stated. “Westerman is currently in jail at press time.”

Rose noted that Westerman’s bond amounts are: $15,000, second-degree felony possession of a controlled substance; $10,000, third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance; and $10,000, third-degree felony tampering with evidence.
