Lake Granbury Medical Center Announces New CEO

GRANBURY, Texas, February 21, 2022 – Lake Granbury Medical Center's Board of Trustees has announced the hiring of Curt Junkins, MHA, FACHE, as Chief Executive Officer of LGMC effective March 23, 2022.

Junkins joins LGMC from Navarro Regional Hospital, a 162-bed acute care facility in Corsicana, Texas, where he has served as CEO for the past three years. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center and Assistant CEO at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Junkins's commitment to quality care and ability to develop effective, collaborative relationships have driven his success in physician recruitment, growth in services, and significant hospital initiatives.

Junkins's continuous focus on healthcare development to support the community's medical needs has led to many successful initiatives in his previous positions, including a robust cardiac cath lab program, integrated telemedicine care, surgical and robotic capabilities advancements, and the development and opening of a free-standing emergency department.

"We are confident in Curt's exceptional leadership skills and ability to develop effective, collaborative relationships with physicians and employees," states Jan Caldwell, Chair of the Board of Trustees. "His commitment to the community's well-being, advancements in medical care, and working closely with local government and community organizations will support continued delivery of quality healthcare in our community."

Junkins holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas A&M University and a masters degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.

The Board of Trustees also extends sincere thanks to Denten Park,  interim CEO, for his dedication, time, and commitment to LGMC during this time of transition.
