A 38-year-old Granbury man accused of shooting a firearm at a dog was arrested on April 8 and booked into the Hood County Jail on a third-degree felony charge, Hood County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Johnny Rose stated in an email.

Deputies responded to a call from the 5400 block of Sun Meadow Circle in the Sunchase Meadows subdivision at about 10:30 p.m.

“Deputies discovered Wade Earl Cone, who was intoxicated, allegedly trespassed on to a neighbor’s property and shot at the neighbor’s dog,” Rose stated, adding that the dog was not injured during the incident.

Rose noted that Cone was charged with a third-degree felony count of deadly conduct ($15,000 bond), along with a Class A misdemeanor charge of criminal trespassing ($3,000 bond).
