Three escape from home fire in Western Hills Harbor

Posted

A residence on Mustang Trail in the Western Hills Harbor subdivision sustained major fire damage early Saturday morning, according to Hood County Fire Marshal Jeff Young and the Granbury Volunteer Fire Department.

The GVFD posted the incident on social media early Saturday afternoon, noting that three occupants inside the residence were awakened by the fire, adding that GVFD firefighters found approximately half of the structure was involved, plus two passenger cars were burning.

“The three occupants escaped unharmed and a first-arriving Granbury (Police Department) officer evacuated the next-door neighbors safely, as their home was threatened,” the GVFD Facebook post states. “Firefighters were successful in keeping the neighboring home from igniting.”

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire, but no additional information was available by press time.
