Arthur Gene Milton

Granbury, Texas, Arthur Gene Milton, 86, passed away on February 15, 2020. Memorial service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 20, 2020, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury.

Art was born on June 27, 1933 on Galveston Island, Texas to James Allen and Dorothy Hanks Milton. He attended San Jacinto Elementary School, Stephen F. Austin Junior High School, and Ball High School, all of Galveston. A post card from the local draft board cancelled a tentative college enrollment, instead he joined the United States Air Force in August of 1951. He served fourteen years and was discharged a Master Sergeant.

Art was a fifty plus year Master Mason, having joined the Masonic Order in Rouen, France in 1959. He joined the Masonic Scottish Rite in 1960 in Paris, France. He was a Member of Granbury Masonic Lodge #392 since 2001.

Art was a Historical writer, publishing seven Ebooks on his Web page: www.magic-quill.com.

He is survived by his loving wife Vel Milton of Granbury, Texas; One brother Mickey Milton of Dripping Springs, Texas; One sister Dorothy June Milton Loya of Eureka, Montana; Three sons: James Milton of Las Vegas, Nevada, Larry Milton of Branson, Missouri; and Chad Milton of Midvale, Utah; One Grandson Brian Milton of San Diego, California; Three granddaughters, Ashley Foreman, and Alyssa Milton of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Tatum Milton of Midvale, Utah; Three great-granddaughters, Fiona and Vivienne Milton of San Diego, California; and Osley Forman of Las Vegas, Nevada; One greatgrandson, Paxton Hill of Las Vegas, Nevada.
