Diana Lynn Smith

FORT WORTH - Diana Lynn Smith, 68, passed away surrounded by friends and family on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019, at her home after a two year long courageous battle with cancer.

Diana Smith was born Dec. 29, 1950, in Fort Worth to Joe and Margaret Little. She loved her Lord and was an active member of Christ Chapel Bible Church right up until her death. She was a member of several women's ministries and outreach programs there.

Diana graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2006. She was an educator for over 30 years and retired in 2013 from Castle-berry ISD where she taught 4th grade. Diana was an incredible teacher, supportive mentor, loyal friend, dedicated family member, nurturing mother and devoted Christian. She felt God had blessed her life in so many ways and with so many people.

Diana learned to live life to the fullest and knew each day was a gift to be opened and enjoyed. She will be missed by her family, friends and former students.

Survivors: Daughter, Holly Smith of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Susan Little of Granbury; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on 2019-09-17 at Christ Chapel Bible Church, 3701 Birchman Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76107.
