John Ira Flippin "Flip", 89, passed away on Wednesday September 9, 2020. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 12, 2020, Martin's Funeral Home, Granbury, Texas; Visitation: 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Saturday September 12th, Martin's Funeral Home; Interment: Rose Hill Cemetery, Cleburne, Texas.
John was born on February 7, 1931 in Itasca, Texas. Son to Ira and Viola Flippin. John loved to fish on Squaw Creek, loved to cook and was the owner of "Flip's Stop" on Hwy 144. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. John will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife: Cloteal "Cathy" Flippin; and his parents: Ira and Viola Flippin.
He is survived by his children: Deborah L. Flippin, John E. Flippin, Jackie Bicknell; grandchildren: Tracy Ashmore and husband Jim, Monica Elliott, John Bicknell; great-grandchildren: Kylie, Balie, Colten, Preston, Justin; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
