Lester Callahan, 90, of Granbury passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019. Graveside service:

2:30 PM, Friday, November 22, 2019, Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Visitation: 5:00 PM -7:00 PM, Thursday, November 21, 2019, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury.

Lester was born on December 20, 1928 in Center, Texas to Frank and Carrie Callahan. He lived in a log cabin growing up. He proudly served in the United States Army. He married Lois Marie McCumber and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved taking trips to Colorado and going trout fishing on family summer vacations.

Lester worked at a dairy in Oklahoma and came back to Texas in the 1950's. He was a master carpenter for 50 years and built homes mainly in Arlington.

Lester was a fiddle player, who loved Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. He loved playing music with his son; he would play the fiddle and Keith would play the guitar. He loved dancing and his daughter Sharon was a frequent partner. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Lois Marie Callahan and second wife: Ina Rhodes.

Lester is survived by his son: Keith Callahan and wife Lois, daughter: Sharon Southard and husband Cliff, grandchildren: Chelsea Haag and husband Matt, Stephanie Shoff, J.W. Callahan and wife Nikki, and Shannon Cabiran and husband Barry, and great-grandchildren: Brylee, Wyatt, Kamrynn, Landon and Jordan.
