Sarah W. Attebury, 98, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, Monday, November 11, 2019 in Granbury TX.

Sally was born in Fayetteville, TN to William Joseph Wyatt and Anna Hamilton Wyatt. The family moved to Waco TX in the 1930's where she graduated from La Vega High School in 1938. Sally later moved to Washington DC to attend business college. She moved to Fort Worth and worked for the US Government during WWII. In 1945 she married the love of her life, a young WWII Navy fighter pilot, Earl Richard Attebury, in Everett, WA. After living in San Jose, CA and Waco, TX the couple moved to Dallas, TX where they raised their 5 children. Sally lost Earl in 1972. She began working at the Army, Air Force Exchange Service in 1973 as the Personnel Supervisor. After retiring in 1997, she remained active in the Presbyterian church in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas and volunteered at Charlton Hospital. After moving to Granbury in 2008 she was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, and volunteered at Lake Granbury Medical Center Auxiliary organization.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband Earl and sons, Robert and Douglas. She is survived by her son, Jim Attebury and wife Debra, daughters, Ruth Attebury Dunn and husband Russ, and Susan Attebury, 11 grandchildren (John, Shannon, Sara, Robert, Joe, Scott, Lindsay, William, Earl, Daniel and Stephanie) and 7 great-grandchildren (Forrest, Liam, Riley, Adrianna, Hope, Sarah and Edward).

Visitation will be Sunday, November 17 from 5-7pm and funeral services at 11am on Monday, November 18 both at the First Presbyterian Church in Granbury TX. Graveside services will also be Monday at 3pm at Laurel Land Cemetery in Dallas, TX.
